Due to popular demand, Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) for our Graduate Certificates and Undergraduate Certificates have been exhausted for 2022. If you are still interested in enrolling for any of these Graduate and Undergraduate Certificate courses, you may still do so, given entry requirements are met.

You may want to consider our EIT Academic Excellence Scholarship (Graduate and Undergraduate Certificates), which provides funding opportunity to students applying for a Undergraduate Certificate or Graduate Certificate.

About Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP)

Commonwealth Supported Places for short courses are part of the Australian Government COVID relief package. These courses are heavily subsidized by the government, which makes it possible for EIT to offer eligible courses at an amazing rate of only AUD100*!

2022 is the last year that CSP spots for short courses will be available, and therefore, June/July 2022 intake is the last chance to gain an engineering qualification at EIT at this reduced price.

*for CSP-eligible students. Students to check their eligibility.

Eligibility

Domestic students may be eligible for subsidies provided by the Australian government, including through a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP). Enrolling in a CSP means the Australian Government pays for part of your course. To be eligible for a CSP, you must be one of the following:

  • An Australian citizen, who will live and study in Australia for some of the course; or
  • A New Zealand citizen, who will live and study in Australia for the whole course; or
  • permanent visa holder, who will live and study in Australia for the whole course.

Explore Our Undergraduate Certificates & Graduate Certificates

Our Undergraduate Certificates are short courses with units drawn from Bachelor’s degrees, while our Graduate certificates draw units from Master’s degrees.

These courses are accredited by TEQSA and have assigned AQF levels: AQF6 for Undergraduate Certificates and AQF8 for Graduate Certificates.

They comprise of 4 units and take 6 months to complete. EIT delivers engineering programs online and our courses are built to fit around full-time work and other commitments. Students are expected to attend live online webinars and tutorials, gain practical skills in remote labs, submit assessments and pass invigilated exams.

Like with all EIT courses we ensure the highest quality of engineering education for our students.

Both EIT Undergraduate certificates and Graduate certificates can be used as a standalone qualification, or as a stepping stone to a full degree.

Benefits: Graduate and Undergraduate Certificates

Undergraduate Certificate units are drawn from EIT’s Bachelor’s programs and Graduate Certificate units from our Master’s programs (with some covering Doctor of Engineering units). This means students graduate with specialized skills and knowledge that enhances their ability in the relevant field – but within a shorter commitment of 6 months.

Our Undergraduate and Graduate Certificates help with quick upskilling and provide an opportunity for career path changes. These programs cover a diverse range of Engineering fields to accommodate engineers and technicians across multiple fields.

Our Undergraduate Certificates provide an opportunity to gain credit into Bachelors, and the Graduate Certificates into Masters, should students meet relevant entry requirements for their degree.

Undergraduate certificates and Graduate certificates offer entry pathways to students with prior higher education qualifications, or those with vocational education and work experience. See the full entry requirements here.
